To start I am a newbie. I have been on this site for months now and have found it very helpfull. I have a 99 a4 quattro 2.8 automatic completely stock with 103,000 miles. I have had it for over 5 years. I just recently changed the battery and had all the vacuum hoses changed. After those changes the car ran great for about a month and a half. The car has been sitting for about the last 3 months, but I have been starting it every 3 days. About a week ago, I turned the car on and I noticed that the idle was jumping up and down. When I come to a stop sign or a red light the car stalls. So I put in a fuel injector cleaner in the tank and drove it for about 40 miles. That did not work. I have used the search option and everybody says to clean the ICV. I printed out the directions from AW. The directions say to remove the 2 10mm bolts that hold the intake plenum onto the throttle body. On mine there were 3 10mm bolts. After that it shows a picture of the ICV with the 3 10mm bolts that need to come off. When I am looking at the same exact spot on my engine, the ICV is not there or did does not look like the picture in Kris Hansen's writeup. If someone could help steer me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Also have no codes to give since I do not have a VAG.
