    Wheel Offset for B7 A4

    Hey guys,

I searched around but didn't really find what I am looking for.

I am planning on getting staggered wheels for my B7 A4 S-line.

I currently have the RS6 style stock 18" OEM wheels. I looked in the FAQ thread and it states that they are 43mm offset and 8" wide. I am planning on getting wheels that are 18x8 offset 38mm for the front, and 18x9 and offset 38 for the rear. I did some calculations and found that that the rears will end up being 8mm more into the car along with 18mm towards the outside the car.

Will the 8mm going into the car cause any clearance issues?

On my old 98 Golf, the tire would rub on the inside against the spring and could end up blowing out the tire, and to fix this issue it would require having spacers.

Also what size of tire should I run?

    TIA for helping out!

Would there be any problems or stress on the quattro going staggered?

Staggered is not a problem, however you have to make sure the tire diameter are within 3%; the closer the better.

With that offset you will not rub inside or outside; very safe with 245/35/19.
