well ive only been driving it a couple of days but no weird noises that i know of. brought to a shop nearby that also work on audis and the mechanic said it could be something with the axle. hes not sure thought coz he hasn't fully diagnosed the problem. anybody have this happen before?

Sounds like you broke an Axle..... Check you speed if you put it in gear. If you put in in like 2nd, and the Speed moves on you cluster. but car aint going anywhere mosty likely an axle. Easy way to check is turn wheels to one side, and Grab the axle and Shake it up and down, or have someone put it in gear and take a look to see it any axle is Spinning. If you find one spinning thats the broken one. Since the car isnt moving but axle is....

i think that this is the problem exactly. i saw the passenger side axle spinning when i looked through the engine bay. is it a major thing to fix? will i need a new axle or is this repairable?

^ Best is to place the car on a hydraulic lift or jack-stands so that you can check for shaft-play due to worn-out splines. Driveaxle problems can also be attributed to damaged CV joints (usually by neglecting cracks on the CV boots).

Replacement is pretty straightforward, it's just a matter of sourcing out the parts.

talked to the mechanic and he said it was my outer velocity that got busted. he was able to source out a part for 13k (pesos). hopefully thats all it is and i can get it up and running in a few days.
