    Spring compressor in Vancouver

Does anyone in Vancouver have a spring compressor? Or know where I can rent one?

I need to raise the front coilovers by about 1/2" and I've reached the max .height that I can do with just the collar wrenches. The spring tension is just too much to turn the collar perch further. Thanks in advance for any help.

Wow, that's really inexpensive. What type did you get? Was it safe to use?

I've used it to do springs on three of my cars now. Never had a problem.

just go to crappy tire in coquitlam, they do tool rentals. you just leave them a deposit and when you bring the tool back they refund it. the lending is free.

    Re: Spring compressor in Vancouver

but you shouldnt compress your springs so much that the tension is too much to turn the wrench... but its up to you

    Re: Spring compressor in Vancouver

Thanks, the CT at Cambie does the loan-a-tool thing as well so I'll go on Friday night to borrow it. Thanks for the insight about adjusting the perch height vs. spring compression. I want to get the height at 25.25", so I'll need to raise about 1/2". Hopefully that won't compromise the spring's performance.
