    This turbo is Blown! LOL

    So as some of you read the previous thread about my turbo sounding like a Supercharger. Well , today I went to Felipes to install a turbo he sold me since mine is trash. We pulled my old turbo and can anyone guess that there must have been some foreign object that fell down the TIP. Turbo was on its way out anyway but DAMN

    It bent all the outer fins and literally gnawed at them took DEEP chunks out.

    i think you should weld some more fins on to it and throw it back in there.

    Hahaha great now this buddy thing is gonna haunt me! haha.
    the ride on 275 was awesome! i hit it up for 110 mph and it still wanted to go at 21psi. As for the girls... well... thats for me to know ;) haha

    so where did all the metal pieces go? into the oil? into the engine?

    I don't understand a small electrode broken off a sparkplug can destroy an engine, but 14 bits of metal off an impeller does nothing....

    the small pieces were dustified (lol) and most likely reside in the smalll puddle of oil from my intercooler from the blown bearings in the old turbo.

    If that tip was missing the set screw...... I think I know where it went.
    GT35r, Cat 3653's, 034 manifold, 1000cc injectors, Ctapp tune, 44mm tial wg, 2.0 block with scat rods and JE pistons, stage 3 SPEC S4 clutch with 240 mm SPEC flywheel, full 3" exhaust, coolingmist water meth, etc.
