Boost too high-Giac X 93 tune bone stock

I have a 2001.5 s4 bone stock except for a giac x 93 ecu and better diverter valves. My peak boost is normally around 18 psi. Well I took her out to an autocross event and after my 5th run my drivers side intercooler inlet pipe blew off. After I put it back on I noticed my peak boost was 21psi. Isn't that too high for a bone stock b5 s4 with a giac 93 tune?

Check and see if you have any other boost leaks, especially your tbb.

good suggestion. I recently replaced it with a samco boot so I just assumed it would be ok. One other thing to add...after my car cooled down the peak boost returned to 18 psi peak boost. Does a hot car boost that much more than warm car? I never boostmy car until my oil is at temperature.

samco throttlebody boots tend to blow off on the bottom so check it good or you wont see it and will drive you crazy looking for another boost leak.good luck

Do a boost leak test. You're car shouldn't make any more boost when it's not than when it's running at normal operating temp
