s4 and kids???

for u family people.....how realistic is having 2 car seats in the back of either the avants or sedans?? especially a rear facing one?

Well I have a 6 year old, and another one on the way, due in july.. My 6 year old fits okay, but thats becuase my wifes only 5'3, so her seat is moved up. Now I'm 6'6, and theres no way my daughter can fit behind my seat. We try to drive the S more, due to gas prices, our other car is a 07 F150 Supercrew (which has more then enough room BTW) but gas mileage on it is a nightmare (16mpg lol)

With the newborn coming, were looking at getting an allroad or A6.

If you plan on doing any more than sitting in it on a regular occasion i would say get a more reliable car.

well see heres the thing... we already have a cadillac SRX. so thats more likely gonna be the family car.(plus its her car) and im in the market for an s4. so its not like mine is gonna be the daily user.well for me it is but on trips its gonna be the caddy. im just moreless interested in if *need be* i can fit the kids in comfortably. we already have a 3yr old. and one due in june. i used to have a jetta and the back seat was more than enough for the lil one if we put her in the center. theirs also an all road i found for sale thats semi local with like 96k miles on it for 14k. which isnt bad...i think

rear facing seat will only fit if the front seat is moved up all the way.

yea car seat im not worried about...its the rear facing im hoping theirs room for... im 5'9 and my gf is shorter so maybe the rear facing can go in the middle and the car seat can go on her side hehehe

i have not found a rear faceing car seat that fits without makeing both people in the front seats semi uncomfortable. Im 6'2" my wife is 5'3" i have gotten used to the driving position and don't really notice much anymore. i think the wife is fine with it now to, but finds it hard to put her purse on the floor by her feet.

a rear facing definatly WONT work anywhere else other then the middle (which is where it is supposed to go)

I have a sedan s4 and a 2 years old girl. Believe me there's not alot of room in rear seats and the trunk is a bit too small for luggage, especially with children and wife luggage.

I agree with everyone above so far. The only things I'll add are the lack of space is annoying because their grubby little feet can reach the back of the seats unless they are moved up all the way and the LATCH system has to be added if you want that in your car.

well i sorta had the same problem with my jetta that our daughters feet could reach the seats. but she never kicked them. and like i said before this isnt gonna be the *family* car. my gf's caddy is that. i just wanna make sure a s4 sedan or avant will be enough to hold a rear faceing car seat when the few times we need to take my car. do any of u guys have pics of your car seats in?

I have a rear facing seat installed in the middle for my daughter. It works, but I couldn't move my seat back any further that what's good for me... and I'm 5"11.

I have a 3.5 year old. She started out rear facing in my R32 and now she is in the S4. I have no problems.
