Just mounted a set of Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1s in a 245/40/17 size, on 17x8 ET35 wheels.
At the same time, I had some minor alignment issues addressed.
The car drives totally differently now...before, with 235/45/17 BF Goodrich GForce Sports, the car was a bit darty (probably the alignment).
The Dunlops are more compliant and they have unbelievable stick.
Also, the car feels much more centered on the road, really rock stable at 50 or 80.
I had a *little* rubbing on the front fender lip and rear with the old tires, and it appears that I may have just a bit with the new tires. I'll probably get the fenders rolled. No other clearance issues.
I'm running Bilstein Sports and Eibach ProRace springs, so the car's sitting a little lower than stock.
Anyway, I've only got a couple of hundred miles on the tires. I'll be autocrossing and tracking them over the next couple of months, looking forward to it!
