this has been in many threads and it really depends on YOU!
By the way your thread title is incorrrect, you apparently meant B5 S4 (not S6)

So what are you looking for? size and comfort? ok with higher weight... annd a car that is less nimble on back roads.... do you have a family ir is it just you (or you and significant other).
    Have a great day, Brice

Get both, LOL, i plan on it...I love the 2.7T motor. It's not nearly as bad, or hard, to work on like alot of people say...

If you want to load up all your friends and go out a6, if you dont mind less room and comfort s4.Your call my opinion a6 more luxury, comfort, room, rides nicer, and can still mod the piss out of it.plus s4's are over priced for less of a car when all your really after is the motor. But you can get alot more after market body parts for the s4,and other parts.

like they all said, what kind of room do you need, but if you ask me, the A6 looks more classy...so w/e, good luck tho, one thing, if you get an S4, chances are a younger person owned and it, and im sure it was driven hard, so look for one with a older owner and less miles.

    Re: A6 2.7 or B5 S4

We have an A6 2.7 and an A4 2.0. Not quite an S4 but smiliar in size and ride. Wile the A4 is a nice car and fun to drive. The A6 is much more car IMO. Great ride, roomier, great power even in stock trim and handles pretty good with some summer tires mounted. A6 all the way. No question.
