Left light dipped???? What the Heck???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So I literally have had this car for 12hrs...and it rained last night and this morning right....some condensation is under the light covers and I get it it to go to the store....I get this alert that the left light is dipped...so when I get to a stop I get out and look...and the bulb isn't on????
Can anyone tell me if the condensation has something to do with this and once the moisture is out of the light assembly...will the light fire up?...or am I screwed?

Its the moisture. You should be fine once the moisture dries up, but you need to get he headlight housing looked at or do it yourself, cause you cant have water getting in there all the time.

This has happened to me about 8 times till finally my ballast got wet then it fried so I had to source a new one. GL!

I had the same issue with mine on both sides.....I had the control modules changed under warranty and never had the problem again.

Re: Left light dipped???? What the Heck???

Thanks for replying, much appreciated....It's an 04 S4, and it's not under warranty, after some of the condensation went away I tried them and they do work...thank god, but when you pull the assembly out...I should dry it out with a hairdryer right??? and then look for the leak and silicone it???...has anyone done this type of repair, and or know of a post that shows this??? I have a Bentley manual for my A6, so I'll scan that for the replacement bulb procedure and take it from there...if anyone knows of a good DIY for this, if you wouldn't mind pointing me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated...
