Dude I went to this race! It was the first time in my life I attended a motor race. And wow what a first it was. To have the Audi's win first and second was the best. I'll never forget it.
I thought the Audi's weren't going to do well especially after seeing where they qualified and for the fact that the LMP2 cars are better on the smaller and shorter timed street circuits. But I guess the straights were just about long enough for those torque monsters to do some damage.
If you guys have never been to a race before, I HIGHLY recommend it! TV does not do it justice at all. They are so insanely fast and extremely LOUD. But it gives you goose bumps every time they pass by. Except for the Audi's lol. The R10's are quieter than my car.
I snuck in the paddock area at the end and watched the Audi crew rolling the R10 across. I almost nut in my pants at that point but managed to get a cell phone pic (my girl went back to the car at this point along with the digital camera
). I got some other pics on the digi cam and I'll try to post some if I get a chance. Go Audi!
