It's the coolest thing with Navi

This might be a really dumb thread right now, but I need to brag about one cool feature I just experienced with the navi unit in our cars. If anyone with the navi unit has detailed or (I'm drunk right now and my girlfriend needed to get into the house with my keys and I needed to have a cigarette, even though I only smoke when I drink and wanted another cigarette) just realized that if their is no keys just press the volume key on the navi unit that it turns on and keeps playing music or any other function it does on even with no keys. I think that is great!! Sorry just thought I'd share.

Sorry to burst your bubble there but every Audi since I can remember allows you to play the radio with no keys. My 1995 90-S did, my ex girlfriend's 1998 A4 and my 2007 A4 does as well. It is a nice feature though. Most German cars will allow you to do this.

Sorry, but I do believe that it's a function of both the HU and the car. In other words, you have to have a head unit that's capable of using that feature of the car. Blaupunkts are capable of taking advantage of this feature in German cars. Had one in both my Mercedes and this Audi for a bit. It's the one feature I miss, but I wouldn't trade my D3 for it.
