    Question "Paint-On" Car Bra ???

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I know this sounds silly but the other weekend I passed a gang of cars on Highway 5 in Valencia, CA that seemed to have "paint-on" car bras? It looked as though the cars were coming back from an SCCA event. Anyway, the whole front-end was "painted" with this compound as well as all the fenders behind the front and back wheels. It definitely was NOT rolls of tape. Is this something that one can just paint on and rub off? I have been considering a bra for the yearly road trips but this method seems interesting as well.

Just wanted to know if anyone has any more info on this.

    thanks,

    That's tape, not paint.

LOL...that's funny. I was thinking 3M clear bra when I read the title and when I ready the description it was that much funnier.

As Louis said that would be Painters tape

It definitely was not tape. I got several good looks at it. That is why I am so confused over this.

you are lucky b/c I read this thread.

    j/k

It works, but just make sure you don't leave it on for too long. My clear bra installer had to buff off the residues before he installed the clear bra on my car.

It's easy to apply/remove. you can have it on for a few days no problem, but probably no more than 2 weeks.
