    Clear bra installed

So I was thinking the whole week to get a clear bra for my car because I drive in the highway a lot and hate having rock chips on the whole front. I called numerous shops and people to get the best price and best warranty. Well I found Peter, from Impire Automotive and he offered me and good price with a 7 year warranty instead of rest offering only 5 years. I got the whole front done which includes hood, headlights, fogs, fenders, bumper, mirrors and the rear arches.

The whole install took about 4.5 hours minus the two overtime quarters by the Spurs and Suns. The clear bra looks perfect, you can't notice it unless you really look upclose. But if anyone wants his number, just pm me and I will give it to you. I wanted to share this with you guys, here are some pictures. I luv my A4. Next up suspension.

the cost is $550 but you can bargain with him. first he sprayed it with 50/50 mix of alcohol and water to get any wax or residue out. then he used a claybar just to make sure everything was smooth. while in the process of putting it on, he made sure there was no dirt or anything that's under the film. he used tweezers to get the little stuff out under the film.

I've personally ordered a sample of this stuff and it's just like the 3M goods I tested at a local shop, plus you get to save yourself about $500 bucks. They also have an install kit and instructional videos are downloadable. Even if you screw up a few times you would still come up on top. It's not that hard really, dont think tint either, it's easier to work with than that.

Hell even 3M sells their precut kits now. Its around a $100 bucks though and not as much coverage on the car.

Has anyone tried this kit from ebay? I'm thinking of getting it, but not sure about it's quality.

Go for it man the whole thing comes in under $40, and they have instructional videos. I like I said, I ordered a sample from them and it's identical to the 3M sample I was able to test at a local shop. It stretched a long way with a pencil, just like the 3M product. I would get the whole kit but I've had tire debris from a semi sratch the hell out of my hood and bumper so, I'm just gonna wait until I get an Oetty front and do it. Go for it man, if you can stomach a $40 loss, your driving the wrong car, know what I mean?

Thumbs up Re: Clear bra installed

had my gf's and mine done this past Saturday by Peter @ Inspire Auto and I'm pretty happy with the result.
if you'd like to get the clear bra installed by someone who'd put extra effort and time for better result, I'd strongly recommend Peter.
the install for 2 cars began around 10 AM and ended around 5:30 PM - roughly 7 hours spent - and Peter paid extra attention to all of the imperfections that could be found.
my gf's white A4 took way more time than my quartz gray A4 - according to Peter, bubbles and tiny particles underneath the film would be more visible with white paint than other colors, and I have to agree with him on this...I was able to see what he was talking about.
all in all, I'm glad we had it installed on our cars and, for the last couple days, the clear bra prevented numerous rock chips while driving on the freeways.
Peter is very easy to work with and just a plain nice guy.
his price is also very reasonable.
let me know if you'd like his number.

and thanks for referring Peter to me, Dustin
