Another Exhaust thread - AWE vs Stasis

    Alright,

Let me start off my saying that I've searched and have checked out youtube but still would like opinions. Is there a significant difference in sound and volume between AWE's catback exhaust and Stasis?

I have a tiptronic B7 Avant 2.0T(APR 93 chip). I've been told that AWE is significantly louder than stock (I'm not running a TP). I've seen youtube videos comparing stock exhaust to AWE, but not a stock compared to Stasis.
The reason I'm asking is I want an exhaust that I can definitely tell sounds better than stock while inside the car and outside, but not one that is too loud. (I know, too loud is subjective - basically something that will not annoy the wife who is a yoga instructor). I basically want to tell a definite difference from stock if I'm going to spend $1k.

Most people on Audiworld talk about how good AWE is but not many comments on Stasis, where as here on Audizine, I hear a lot of good things about Stasis.
I've checked out the Stasis virtual drive video, but it's hard to hear since the car seems to be on a gravel or dirt road. I've also checked the youtube videos of the car with windows rolled up (Thanks for posting those btw, sorry can't remember your name)

I'm either getting AWE or STasis, but I can't find a good comparison of the two. I like the angled tips on Stasis better, but I'm not sure it's that big of a deal. AWE is about $100 cheaper, so I'm leaning that way.

Thanks for any helpful feedback you can give.

Stasis is more quite than AWE for sure. If it was me, I would go with Stasis. You won't be disappointed either way but based on reading your post, I get the feeling you'd be happier with Stasis.

AWE is definitely significantly louder than stock. It may annoy your wife; my girlfriend and friends have commented on the volume, but I wanted what I wanted. It's my damned car.
