this morning i woke up and started my car at 630am (about 40 degrees F outside) to go to work and i noticed my battery light intermittently flashing. it flashed for a few seconds, then went out for a while. then came back on for a split second, then went out. then as i drove to work it would come on once or twice as i slowed down at a light (kind of flickering) then it would go out again almost immediantly. i didnt see it at all for the seconds half of my drive. when i went to lunch around 1pm (about 55-60 degrees F) i didnt see it at all in the 5-10 minute drive. this is the first time ive ever seen this. what do you guys think? alternator? battery? i may just wait it out a bit to see if it happens again. do you think this could have something to do with my sunroof closing on its own from the tilt position?

Sounds like maybe a bad connection on the brushes in the alt. As for the sunroof closing, that's pretty common. Take the sunroff switch apart and clean out the grease.
