Well went out and washed the car today so I can put the other fender on. Took some pics of the car once I was done.

A picture of something that was dropped off at my door yesterday, sorry my son just would not take no for an answer when he kept trying to be the hand model.

Its the new "k03" filter for those that dont want to run a maf or turbo inlet hose

time to pick up another 4088, and put it on the truck...

MAF-less file for K03 cars? Since when? maybe I'm out of the loop since I don't have the option.

What color is the car going to be when it's done?

I was playing about the filter. The filter is for my catch can, there are 3 of them and they have a 2" ID flange which basically would fit on the inlet of the K03.

here is a picture of my new catch can. The filter tubes are 1" but I could not find any good filters that were under 3" tall with a 1" flange, so I dropped off the catch can with fred so that he could change them to 2" tubes.

Car will be pelican blue and the kevlar blue/black. The area where the hood is white will be painted pelican blue.

Why isnt the white part a bit wider so the whole section around the grill is white?

I dont plan on leaving it white, the center of the hood will be painted including the area around the grill. All of the Fiber Images hoods are blacked out in the grill section of the hood, on my car they just used a white gel instead of black.

That isn't paint at all, it is just a colored resin. I will be having the hood painted/cleared and the painted line will be along that red line you made.

Is that just a track car or is it streetable? It may not be the prettiest thing, but am sure it is a beast. Be sure to put up pics when the car is painted.

At this time it is just a track car. I plan on painting parts of the doors so that it blends the kevlar in with the rest of the car a bit better.

BTW pretty and fast just dont go together, just ask any pretty girl.

LOL, got to leave some pelican blue on the car. I will be changing my trunk to one that will match the rest of the kevlar, plus someone asked if I would be willing to sell the one I have on the car now.

Only other thing I might end up doing is a kevlar/CF roof when I have my full cage done.

I am sure they could be made, but I am not looking to add them to my car since the car is built for speed not looks.

Yeah just not right now. I might look into doing one when I stop running a FMIC and want to close up all of the openings on the bumper.

I was wondering why it was "ko3" in the parenthases(sp?)

I can't wait to see it finished. I read about that catch can a little bit ago, a week or so i think. Looks good.

Fred at ER wants to do a air/water cooler that I will just have to pour water and ice into before each run.

Interesting... Has anyone tested this out before? I assume it lowers your IAT's otherwise it wouldn't be worth doing, but is it a significant difference?

Yes it is for drag racing. Ther are cons for a street car since it would need a tank, pump and radiator core so the heat soaked up by the water can then be removed before it returns to the tank. That setup is much more heavier then the standard air/air fmic setup.

Here is a chart to give you an idea of an air/air fmic vs a Air/water setup.

That is the way to go for drag racing.

My friend has a water/air intercooler in his supercharged big block '81 Malibu Wagon. Its in the dashboard where the glovebox used to be. There is a fuel cell in the trunk with a fuel pump circulating ice-cold water for each of his 1/4 mile passes. Fuel cell has a drain under the rear bumper to drain the water out of the system when the day is done.

Mike. The car looks nice. Those kevlar panels fit well.

thanks, I know I'm an idiot, but to my own credit the time it shows on the post is not correct for what time it was in the morning that I posted that.
