Help... I running rich

Gentlemen, I need your help.

I'm running rich and I don't know why.

Please point me in the right direction.

What are the main reasons why I would be running rich?

I'm also interested to know if anyone in my area is willing to help me VAG-COM my ride.

*** BTW *** I know I'm running rich because 1) I'm consuming alot of gas 2) I can smell the 'richness' from the exhaust.

I'm in Maryland and I have been running rich since Thursday. I performed some maintenance (spark plugs, air & cabin filter, oil change Mobil 1 0w40) and since my fuel consumption has been terrible.

The only thing that I can think of at this point is the weather. The past few days have been unseasonably warm and I think that my cars A/F process is not on the ball yet.

With A4's, there's only 3 reasons real why they run rich:

1. faulty O2 sensor
2. faulty MAF
3. vacuum leak

o2 sensor is a very good place to start

Thanks RLB6.... I did some searching of past posts and found these are the main reasons.... plus, I spoke to an Audi tech friend of mine and he confirmed.
