I have an s4 that was in a flood, and now the light for ECON stays on the climate control and the a/c doesnt work... It probably has freon because the car only has 18000 miles on it, but where do you thnk the a/c stuff would be?

Re: Car was in a flood, where are the Modules for a/c compressor?

when my car went into the bodyshop they drained my A/C but forgot to recharge, and I didn't want my car back in the shop, so I did this using refrigerant that can be bought at any car parts store.

    Super easy, took 5 mins.
    Mod lists are weird

Re: Car was in a flood, where are the Modules for a/c compressor?

I cracked my ECU box and my car was then subjected to a major monsoon like rain storm. I fried many of the modules - from what they told me at Audi all the wiring and modules are behind the steering wheel in the dash just inside the firewall. The ecu cables come through and connect to the modules and then the main wiring harness runs under the floor (drivers side) and runs to the back of the car. This was on my 07 2.0t Sline but i would guess thats a starts and should be similar on most B7 Audi's. Good Luck - the dealer may be able to test the system for you to see if there are bad modules (may cost something but before you waste time on money on something it may not be I think its best to have a tech isolate the problem).

    Best of luck

    John

Re: Car was in a flood, where are the Modules for a/c compressor?

well thank god the flood didn't get that high.. The problems I have are as follows:

    Drivers heated seat dont work.

Rear right heated seat stays on full blast, burns major ass.

I'm thinking I can take out the seats and possibly buy new roller switches for the back.. Other than that the car is awesome!

And of course a/c dont work..

Re: Car was in a flood, where are the Modules for a/c compressor?

You need to really scan the car with a VAG-COM to figure out where all the faults are. There a like a dozen sensors spread out through the car, mostly in the front and inside cabin
