    Re: Apex'i AVC-R........ help

go to page 42 for what you need

If its a internal wg setup
NO port = inlet - from turbo
COM port = outlet- to wg actuator

    External wg setup
NC port = inlet - Y connector with 1 hose to turbo, 1 line going to side port of WG and 1 line going to NC port
COM port = outlet to top of WG

Instructions for this EBC is just like the one for the Greddy profec B spec 2.

Can you describe how you connected the solinoid valve? The hose from the compressor housing, should be connected to the solinoid valve "Common" port, and the N.O.* port connected to the wastegate actuator.

If the wastegate actuator is connected directly to the turbo compressor discharge hose fitting, the maximum boost will only be about 5 psig. The stock N75 raises boost higher, by venting some of the pressure in the hose to the wastegate actuator, preventing the wastegate from opening until the boost pressure is at the level specified. The Apex'i works about the same way, by venting some of the boost pressure in the hose to ambient outside pressure, depending on the duty cycle of the control voltage applied to the solinoid valve, the wastegate "sees" only a partial amout of the pressure at the compressor discharge, until the boost pressure is at the presssure specified. Then, the control reduces the amount of air vented, increasing the control boost air pressure sent to the wastegate actuator, opening the wastegate to limit and control the boost pressure from the turbo. Capisce?

    * N.O. = "Normally Open", N.C. = "Normally Closed", where "Normally" means NOT energized or powered ON, and "Open" "Closed" flow paths to the Common port.

Do you have an Avcr in your car ?

    - Im not sure that i have it wired correctly. There ar 2 purple wires coming from my ECU cable, which Purple wire did you use ?

    - Also I am not sure if I have the Solenoid in the correct location, I have it t'd in from the manifold

    Re: Apex'i AVC-R........ help

The valve should be where the original N75 was located or near there. Not tee'd from the manifold. Either the flow path from the manifold via the solinoid valve is connected such that the valve can't effect the pressure sent to the wastegate, or the valve is not energizing and therefore not venting any control air pressure signal to the wastegate actuator, thus the low boost pressure determined only by the balance between the actuator spring tension and the control boost air pressure from the compressor housing.

The Purple wire from the Apex'i controller, is connected to the engine speed sensor, or alternatively, to one of the injector low side wires.

Have you downloaded and reviewed the instructions linked from "mike-2ptzero's" post above?
