    57 point inspection today

I left the b6 at Audi today for a 57 point inspection to make sure it was in good condition to start moding this summer, and boy was I in for it. Couple things I need to take care of first and would like some information from people who may have already done it.

First I have a small coolant leak from the Coolant Thermostat Plug. I do not see this as being that hard of a problem to take care of. I have read through my bently manual and it seems like a pretty straight forward fix just a little time consuming.

Second I have a small oil leak from the Cam Tensioner Gaskets. Now I located this in the manual and found where it is and noticed the work it takes to get to it and replace it so I said what the hell I will do the timing belt and water pump while i am in there. Any pointers on knocking both these out?

And last all my breaks are coming up to the point where they need to be replaced and I know someone gave me the link to matrix (i think) that sell factory audi brakes. If anyone can point me that link again it would be great.

So with that said any input from anyone who has done any of the above, your snags, information, stuff to stay away from, where to look in the bently manual sense i am still finding my way around in it.

    Thanks
    Sean

Audi replaced my brake pads under warranty; I'm not sure if they do the same for a CPO.

    Re: 57 point inspection today

Well it is not a CPO, I bought it right before winter last year and garaged it, took it to them so they could do the inspection so I could see what might be wrong.

The 57 point inspection cost me 140 dollars. It is the same inspection they do to audi's that come in on trade to resell as CPO's.

I take it no one has had these issue's before?

    Thanks

i was reading on the Cam tensioner gasket change yesterday check up on Martini's thread about changing his Valve Cover Gasket, and well new brakes everyone needs those eventually, and don't kid urself dealers don't do these 57 poin inspections they sit ur car at the back lot and take a few looks and write a few things on ur paper and charge u! at least here in LA!
