roof rack?

hey guys, anyone know anything about a roof rack i can buy for my 2000 s4. I'm looking for something simple like a thule rack that I can put my surfboard on. Any help is appreciated.

Not trying to hi-jack this thread but maybe we can start something on roof racks. I also want to know about things people have. My wife and I have two of these (hers is a bit different), one will fit in the back of the Avant but the other will have to go onto the roof. Any ideas about what would be useable for something like this?

Thule makes em. Yakima makes em. Audi makes em. I've used soft racks on my S4, but picked up an audi rack in the AZ classifieds a few months back. Check that and CL out.

i've got a thule setup that came with my b6 a4 and i don't use it at all, not sure if it'll work for you, but it's got all mounts and a ski/snowboard rack, doubt it'll fit your snowboard, but you can just get an attachment for the mount racks for that if you're interested

I believe he'll need a differenet fit kit for the thule to make it work on the b5

here's what I am running: (but I ride Mt Bike)





I'll break down the parts list for what you would need:
1. Q-Towers (attaches to car roof via Q-Clips)
2. Cross Bars (attach to Q-Towers)
3. Q-Clips (Q72)
4. Crossbar Pads (http://www.yakima.com/FileRender.asp...&ImageSize=Big)
you would also need some type of straps

everything above can be found on www.yakima.com and if you want to save some loot take others' advice and hit up ebay or craigslist
