b6: Possible adapter for a different offset?

I have a set of Breyton rims from my dads BMW 528. We tried to put them on my B6 quattro but the offsets do not match.

A friend told me there was a bolt on adapter of some sort that would allow me to use a different offset on my car. In this case they would be my Breytons. Is this true?

Hi,

The offset is already too low for your vehicle. The wheels are probably around a +15-20 offset. An adapter is just going to make it lower since it pushes it farther from the hub to accommodate for the 5x112 pcd. Your vehicle requires around a +35-40 offset for a 8.5" wheel.

Yep, you would need something pretty thick to make that work. H&R makes very good hub centeric spacers., you may want to call them for thier opinion.
