Maybe I have defective heat shield...

I gotta find a way to secure matts heat shield. Whatevers wrong with it, the shield keeps on sinking too low and heat still gets to the other side. Also, because its not flush against the snorkel dealy, heat still gets to the filter....

Anyone find a good way to keep it secure?
