    Privat fitments questions

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hi, I am looking at some 19" Privat Netz wheels. Just wondering if they will fit on my B7 without the need of spacer?

Also, anyone knows the approx weigh for each wheel?

    Thanks

    Re: Privat fitments questions

I think its ET40. Does it matter with brake clearance if the wheel is 8.5J or 9.5J?
Also, who actually have Privat wheels without the need of spacer?

    Thanks

    Re: Privat fitments questions

Why would these wheels be a problem with a b7? I have 19s on my b6?

    Re: Privat fitments questions

Nobody will know unless they have them.

19x8.5 et40 will fit, but it may need a spacer in the front.
I don't think 19x9.5 et40 will fit in the front, but it might... either way it's very close so I wouldn't bother IMO.

You need to know the exact offset though. 19x8.5 is the most common size we buy, since space in the front is limited.

But the big thing you need to find out, is how the spoke pattern sits against your brakes. Regardless of the width or offset, you may need a spacer if the spoke pattern is too deep and hits the carrier. I'd say 19x8.5 et40 with a 5-8mm spacer in the front is foolproof and will fit for sure, but you may not even need the spacer. Every wheel is a tad different, so you need to "test fit" it if nobody else has them by mounting to see if they hit the brakes, then when they clear, make sure the inside lip isn't hitting the spring perch or any suspension components.

I googled, and it said "19x8 Netz weight about 24lbs each". Can't find any more info
    Ignorance is bliss.
