yeah, yeah, another headlight leveling problem....

So I searched, and read, and searched again....but I'm still having problems with the headlight warning light/sensors.

So here's my set up: On Vogtland coilovers - car set at 25" (ground to top of wheel well) at all corners.
The car reported a short right after installation. Just wanting to get it fixed correctly, I took it in to the dealership to deal with it. As expected, the sensors needed to be replaced - BOTH of them. So I sucked it up and got that done. Not more than a day afterwards the dash light is on again. The dealership said that the light would intermittently go on and off if driving on steep hills because of how low I am. Thing is, the light came on on fairly level road, and really, at 25" am I that low??

So I'm itching to get my hands on a Vag-com to see what the error codes are now.
Could it be another short some place else? Voltage range too low? (What is the acceptable voltage range?) Headlamp Range Control module broken? Anything else?

There are so many lowered cars on this forum, but I don't read tonnes of people suffering from the same problem, just a handful.

I've read about folks bending something to trick the sensor - any links to pics of what that is?

Any help is appreciated. If all else fails I'm just going to pull the headlight level fuse.

    Thanks in advance.

You can pick up the switch and bypass the autoleveling and have full manual control.
