POS Gredy Profec B Spec II

Well after few days of running the car and getting some miles on it I find the EBC is not working. After confirming with some people I do have all the vac lines run correctly. It seems no matter what settings I use I always boost to around 16-18 psi and it will steadily climb unless I let off the throttle. Called Greddy 3 times and tried all that they said and its still not working. They think the unit itself is faulty. So I called up the Ebay store I got it from and they said they will try there best to fight Greddy and get it warrantied!!! I swear its fuckin one thing after another.

best advice I can give is to try hooking it up differently, or give me a call and I can walk through the tuning with you, IM me if you need.

Make sure the line tapped into a boost signal is STRAIGHT to the boos controller with a T for the wastegate and not straight from wastegate and t'ed off to the solenoid.

good luck.. if there's any typos in here, i apologize, i'm drunk lol

    Question:

Are both boost sources connected to your external wastegate?

One boost source and it goes to a T that feeds the lower inlet of the WG and one side of the step motor, other side of the step motor is connected to the top of the WG. He has it all hooked up correctly but it isn't controlling boost in anyway. Just sounds like the step motor isn't allowing pressure thru it to keep the wg valve closed.

If he just runs a staight boost source to the top of the wg the valve will never open. If he has a MBC laying around he can remove the line from the top of the WG, putting the MBC on the line to the side of the WG to see if he can get it to run more then the 16psi he is getting now and to see if the WG is working correctly.

Andrew - did you ever find out what spring rate the WG has?

    Which is 13.05 psi.

Yeah I think that EBC is bad, since its just not feeding any pressure from the port on the step motor which you connect to the top of the wg to keep it closed.

3 Phone Calls To Greddy Trying Different Things And They Think The Module Is Bad. I Put 12v To The Solenoid And It Clicks Everytime So I Think Thats Good. Drive It To Work This Morning And Its Stayign Around 15-16 Psi So That Will Do For Now I Guess.
