lots of patience, and an angle finder at the very end!

you will love it, and if it takes you hours...it is definitely worth it!

Shift the car into 2nd gear when you reinstall the bolts. It'll make it easier to line up the bolts. Don't tighten it down in 2nd, just get the bolts into the holes.

Make sure the reverse notch is on the passenger side and make sure the shifter will go into all the gears, i had to move mine up a notch to fit my B5.

One thing of note is that the video which shows the use of the angle gauge is used on an older shifter that has a straight shaft. Your shaft has a bend in it....

I gues if you can find an angle gauge that is small enough to work on the straight part but the one I had was too big.

Oh yeah you're gonna need to get a hose clamp to keep your shift knob on. Sorry I forgot to tell you...

I have not installed mine yet but just watching the install videos on their site gave me an idea on how difficult it is. Should probably say how easy it is. Just watch those and read that one document if you have the extra short version.

Yeah a hose clamp is included in the JHM kit. You have to bust off the stock clamp that holds the shift knob to the shaft which is why it's on my car now. Sorry about that.
