there's a bunch of options but *best* depends on what you want and how much you want to pay.

for me *best* was Avic D3 since I wanted nav as well.

your other options are Denison Icelink or the Blitzsafe adaptor.

    Re: IPOD Interface

I have the Dice... it works great. You have limited control of the ipod for next/prev track, next/prev playlist, fast forward/rewind. It definitely serves the purpose.

From what I can tell, there is no way to display track info on the head unit. I think it will display song/track # with dip switch config, but when it's set this way, you lose control from your ipod. If you turn this off, you can control from both the HU and the Ipod, which is nice.

Plus, the sound is very good and it charges the ipod battery. It plugs into the 2nd CD changer port that would be located in the glove box. I was able to snake the cable under the console and out underneath the armrest without removing anything but the HU. The plugs were a little confusing at first, but there was a second harness that I had to hold right next to the first while plugging it in.

Oh... and buy the stereo removal tools. You'll need them. I got mine from www.enfig.com. They were knowledgeable and very helpful.

    Re: IPOD Interface

Anyone know if any of these work with the Iphone... It looks like some of the Denison has addons for bluetooth as well... Might be worth looking into.

I guess all the BlitzSafe ones are guaranteed to work with the iPhone and iTouch... Though their site sucks...

I was looking at the DICE Electronics solution... it looks pretty slick. You can also control it with radio controls...

Has any tried a wired FM relay as a cheap alternative?

Edit: never mind, looks like it's not in stereo.

i don't get it though...doesn't it still transmit through your FM radio? seems like even though it might have less fuzz than an FM transmitter, i doubt it would give you cd quality...
