    I found a b5 s4 at a salvage yard. Still has the brakes. Car looks like the motor caught on fire. does anyone know if the front brakes would be salvagable?

    As long as the brakes didn't catch on fire they should be fine. You might as well get brand new rotors though.

    so if the brakes caught on fire, they would not be useable?

    I don't think I would trust brakes that caught on fire. They might work if you had them rebuilt but if you're going that far you would be better off just finding a set in the classifieds.

    thanks. just didnt know if they were more trouble than its worth.
