    Help w/New Turbo Trim

    Hi,

Right now I'm making plans to upgrade to GT28.

    The best price I could find was $685 for a GT28, .

now, I'm having some doubts when it comes down to select the trim I need to run it with the revo software. Do any of you guys with BAT can tell me what's the correct Gt28 I have to buy?

    TIA

    Re: Help w/New Turbo Trim

If using a T25 flange, .64 a/r will have the earliest spool

BTW, $685 does not sound legit for a 2860R, probably rebuilt or someone ripping you off, one of the two

genuine garett gt series turbo My cousin is friend of the owners' shop

btw, will a t25 flange will be adaptable to mi stock mani?
    the Revo software will work?

so my best bet will be with a .64 a/r?

I heard some of the guys @ the shop talking about some random number on the front and the same for the back of the turbo. So let's say, I want a "normal" Gt28 w/ a .64 a/r?

sorry guys, such a noob with this!!

That turbo won't fit a stock manifold. And the .64 the A/R. The lower the number, the faster the turbo will spool. And that's the best for your car.

    -FMIC
    -DV
-Full Exhaust (TP w/Custom Cat Back w/ Magnaflow)

I still need the TIP with the rest.

ok, so now that I have everything clear out I still have one final doubt (for now )... what about an external wastegate? Is this necesary? What advantage does it gives me?

    Re: Help w/New Turbo Trim

For a 28 series turbo, an internal wastegate is fine, the only reason I would run an external gate is if you want an open dump external wastegate, if your going to reroute it, no reason to not get an internal

I don't think I need quattro in a tropical island!

btw, installing an external wastegate it's a lot more complicated than an internal wastegate? what changes will I have to make to convert from internal to external?

    Re: Help w/New Turbo Trim

You will install an external wastegate along with the turbo, thats about it. You need to decide from the get go though as you will need to order a turbo specific either way as they dont interchange easily

Your main choices for mani's are either ATP or Full Race through Mike

Not that you havent seen my setup, but you can see where the wg fits with the ATP setup, if using an internal gate, you would just put a blockoff plate over the wastegate port on the mani

    Wastegate hides underneath
