    Question APR 1+ Poll: how much did your dealer charge for the 1->1+ upgrade?

    Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    and please state whether it included injector install or not.

    the new owner of my old avant wanted to upgrade from the APR 1->1+, and has a set of TT injectors. The local APR dealer (who did the original stage 1 flash on the car when I owned it) quoted him $427.59 for the injector install, flash upgrade, shop supplies, and tax. Just trying to get an idea what everyone else paid -- I'm thinking 1hr labor total for the flash + injector install is reasonable/customary based on what I've read on here before.

    APR upgrade is free, the distributor wants labor on it.

    It is reasonable for a dealer to ask for 30 minutes labor if you did not originally purchase from them.

    ^^true..I think they would have charged me if I had not originally had them do the first flash.

    the dealer who gave the quote was the one who did the original flash, less than 1yr ago. The injectors (TT225, since it's a MY02) were purchased from the classifieds here.

    It's frustrating as the Audi scene here in Austin is small but growing, and I'd like to be able to recommend people to them who want to get APR products, but from the way they are marking things up ($150 for the flash upgrade, which is free from APR, and $225 for the injector install [which would take anyone familiar with the 1.8T 10mins max]), I just can't do it, esp given that there's now a REVO dealer in town 10mins down the road (and the shop is run by an Audi master tech to boot).

    Giac -> Giac FX

    $110 for injector install and reflash. Don't remember how they broke it down, but either way that included the software file, reflash labor, and injector labor.

    May have overpaid...but it was zero hassle.
