    WTB: A4 B7 Hood

I need a new hood for my B7 A4 Avant. I wrecked it. It's near being a total. If I can come up with some of the parts, I might be able to save my beloved 2007 A4 Brilliant Red Titanium Avant!

So, some one in the socal area must have swapped to a carbon fiber hood. That old steel hood has got to be taking up room on the garage. Let me buy it from you.

Thanks, it's a long and complicated story. I wound up rear ending someone. Entirely my fault. Long story. I work in Film Production, and to many people calling & texting me @ 5:15 am sent me down the wrong path. Hit a Toyota Tundra, and went underneath his truck, catching his spare tire. $2,700 damage to his truck.
$25,000 damage to my car due to the shattered timing gear, and the motor running.
Trying to save the car. It's a boarder line total. All front sheet metal & headlamps (Adaptive Xenon). No frame damage, or I'd just total it, & walk away. Looking at 3-6 months repair time if they will do it (insurance, and I'm pleading with them).

Upshot, is trying to help the body shop get the bottom line down lower. I have connections for some parts (S-line bumper & front fenders are cheaper from Germany - plus s-line bumper has no side markers)
Audi Road side sent me there (DC Autocraft in Burbank). They're Factory Authorized repair facility. In fact, there were 2 R8's in there.

this might be weird to say, but i hope that gets totaled, if it doesnt get totaled and you want to get a new car, no one is going to want a car that had 25 thousand dolalrs of repair work to it.

    - best of luck to you.

if you got a blackberry, just memorize the keyboard and type infront and ontop of the steering wheel, thats the law.
u can only text infront and above the steering wheeel.

Estimate is so high, because they have to replace the head. Believe me, it's worth it to fix the car. Body estimate was only $12K. It's replacing the head that's so expensive.

I wasn't texting. Other people were texting me. I HATE TEXTING. I wish they would call me instead. That's why I got a car with bluetooth.
Further more, I wasn't texting when it happened. I was.... look this is all irrelevant. I need to fix this car, period. No frame damage. All four doors are in perfect alignment. It might have to go to another shop. Right now it's at DC Autocraft in Burbank, They ARE the Factory Authorized Repair facility.
They had 2 R8's there when I dropped the car off. All factory trained techs there. One of them wants to buy the car off me for $10K, bullshit I say. Furthermore, I still owe $30K on the car. Totaling is the absolute last option for me. The shop says it would be better than new when completed. They are crunching numbers. I have a connection to Germany for parts (ordering a fender from German is cheaper than if you were to buy one at your local dealer, if you can believe that). Point of this thread is that I need a hood. Period. I'm not looking for advice. But thanks anyway.

Bumparino. I know a bunch of you have bought carbon fiber hoods for your B7 A4's. You got that big piece of sheet metal sitting there, let me take it off your hands!
