Nice, exhaust will be the next step for me, after a set of wheels (which I'm picking up tomorrow).

How does the chip feel so far? I'm sort of hesitant to do it, because of warranty issues.

Congrats on the new suspension. I've had my car for 6 weeks now and just had a Milltek non-resonated cat back installed last week. Once you start it's all over!

LOL! I'm sitting here watching all of you mod the crap out of your cars. I've only had mine for 3 months, and I'm still deciding if I should or if I shouldn't. It's pretty tough to see all these fixed up Audis. Then look at mine all bone stock. *SIGH*

I was gonna change my exhaust, but then RAudi Driver and Dodge2Dub heard me rolling into the meet last sunday. They both said it sounds awesome and not to change it. *SHRUG*

    Re: The Mod Disease...

I did all my mods in the first 3 weeks of buying my car. Saved up and bought everything in one shot. I had so much fun installing everything, then driving the car after the install felt so accomplishing.

Well, you gave me my first mod idea of taking the window sticker off. Your first mod should be SUMMER TIRES!

BTW, did 2nd mod today, spacers! Front H&R 8mm non-hubcentric didn't fit. Lost too much of the stock hub to make contact with the wheel. 5mm won't make it either so gotta go with 10mm.

    Re: The Mod Disease...

PESAPC posted that his vibrations went away when he got new tires put on the ca, so I thought that since they are cheaper, why not just get them. I tossed them on the car last night and here is how it went:

Rears, 10mm, went on without a hitch but the spacers didn't match up to the mating surfaces. They need to be a bit larger in diameter. If you look, you can tell that spacers are on the car, which sucks for me as I am one picky mofo. I wonder how the MTM are?

The fronts, 8mm, didn't work on the car. H&R hubcentric spacers start at 10mm so tossing the 8's on the car didn't leave enough of the original hub sticking out to mate up to the wheel. 5mm's won't work either. I didn't install the fronts and told my guy to swap them out for 10's.

When I lower the car, I will have a set of 10mm spacers for sale. I honestly think that MTM is the way to go. I'm gonna hunt down a pic to see.

My 8mm H&R spacers are hubcentric and have an additional lip extending from the conical part that fits into the inside of the wheel hub that the 10mm H&R spacers do not have.

I got 10's for the rear and 8's for the front and the 8's were not hubcentric. Hmmmm, wonder what' going on.

Just got off the phone with H&R. There are two 8mm spacers that they sell. My guy ordered the wrong ones.

162555716 is the correct part # for 8mm spacers for an RS4.

16255571 are non lipped spacers and will not center the wheel on the hub.

I thought they all had that....effectively allowing them to be hubcentric.

    Re: The Mod Disease...

RAudi why are you going to ditch the spacers once lowered? I was getting rubbing issues on big bumps, but now that I put the suspension on a stiffer setting, the rubbing issues have completely vanished on the street...except on canyon runs which I liken to track runs.
Cool stuff with a little growl!
