Would a leaking spider hose cause a loss of boost?

    Hey Guys

My turbos make alot of spooldown noise and I can hear a hissing noise sometimes when the car is at idle coming from the back of the engine. And when I go up hills the rpm's jump up and down like the car is confused. I have checked all the boost pipes and they are all ok. When I removed the engine i broke the spider hose and had to patch it back up until I could get a replacement.
Could the spiderhose cause a loss of boost pressure if I did a rubbish job of repairing it?

I have checked the car for codes and this is the only one I have.
17965: Charge pressure control: positive deviation

Log it and leak test the boost hoses. Leaks may not appear until full boost. Possibly an N75. Spider hoses usually cause missfires.
