    B6 1.8t & 225qtt?

I have asked this question on the B5 A4 tech page. Is the B6 A4 1.8T engine the same as the TT 225Q other than the engine is inverted. A4 turbo is making a test downpipe catless and wondering if this would fit my 225QTT.
He has pics of it in the classifieds listed as test catless pipe A4 turbo.
Any answers? any help? I'm looking for a catless down pipe for my TT.

    Re: B6 1.8t & 225qtt?

The TT225 is a transverse mounted motor.

    The 1.8T in the B5 & B6 A4 is longitudinal mounted.

    The downpipe is different.

The only thing similar between both motors is the engine block casting and the cylinder head casting. The internals of the motors are also different.

    Won't fit...different layout as mentioned ^

Internals, Layout, even turbo (K03 vs K04) are different between the A4 and TT225.

Different only regarding cast steel/iron/aluminum alloy vs. forged parts, that
    are otherwise identical.

wouldnt a catless downpipe be the same for both as long as the a4 was fwd?? then the engine is transverse as in the tt??

No, all A4s are longitudinal, regardless if AWD or FWD.
