This is probally a dumb question about suspension, BUT is it bad to just run different springs in the front and leave my car sport suspension in the back? I mean with coils people runs different set ups, so why couldnt i run different springs in the front? I like the height of the back of my car, but want the front lower.Anyone do this or want to flame me on this? haha

You can do it, spring rates on coilovers and springs can differ in the front and rear on purchased kits also. The real question is, where are you goingto buy just two front springs or two front coilovers?

My buddy was an idiot and was trying to cut some springs so now he has 3 good springs left and just wants to take a loss for his mistake and get 4 brand new ones haha.

^ if he gets 4 brand new springs...whats the problem? (assuming they are used with appropriate shocks).

whether coilovers, springs, or shocks. they are all engineered to be complimentary front to rear. running stock sport rear and aftermarket front may acheive looks, but the handling and ride of the front/rear were not meant to go together. my guess is handling and ride will suffer...how much depends on how different the f/r setups are.

Re: Probally a Dumb question about Suspension/

well. that would actually be the safest bet as far as what you want to do. (Still not recommending it). Eibach spring rates are ver similar to OEM sport. So if you did try the different front/rear spring thing, using eibach fronts with sport rears would be less detrimental to handling than say...neuspeed race fronts with sport rears.

why not just put eibach all around. It's a very mild drop. They lower the front about 3/4 of and inch and barely lower the rear...atleast from stock sport.
