the wheels are 17X8 with an offset of 20. I want to put them on my 2000 s4, wondering if you guys could help me with how big the adapter width would have to be to tuck these right under the fender.
    thanks

that isnt even anywhere close to possible. they wouldstick out your fender even with NO spacer/adapter. keep in mind on an 8" wheel, you are looking for ET 35 at the LOWEST to maybe tuck your wheels a bit. (probably even ET38) the lower the offset, the more the wheels stick out the fender. hope that helps. and i doubt ull find any bimmer wheel that wll ever fit our car. try looking in porsche classifieds as they have like 50 offsets so that you can run something like a 15mm adaptor to yield the 35 et your looking for. gl bud

FWIW, I'm pretty sure you would have also run into a problem with the wheels due to their bolt pattern...BMW's are 5x120 IIRC.
