I think the the fact that our (factory spec) cars won't hang with an M3 or anything higher-end became apparently clear to all of us after about, ...the first three days of being behind the wheel. I hate when people say "oh, my friend has an M3, it's way faster," or, "my Mustang would stomp that little four cylinder." Duh. So fucking what. I'm 20, I'm a full time student, and I work my dick off to make my car payment. I'm not bitter about it either. No way am I bitter about it. I see people my age riding around campus in their Cayennes and new XKs every day. Fuck, I even saw a 996 Carrera in the student lot today. I like cars. No, I love cars. A reputable independent high-end car dealer in the Sarasota, FL area told me, while I was sweating my balls off cleaning his carpets to pay for my Audi, that while he was in college, he spent all of his money on women and cars. He had his priorities straight. I take comfort in the thought that I have my priorities straight, too. I drive a luxurious Deutsch-engineered auto that will keep me from getting into too much trouble while keeping me and my passengers safe. I'm not hating on the M3, either. I'm an M3 fanatic. I love the M3, and might I add that without getting too crazy with my dreams (Ferraris, Astons, and the like), it, along with the 911, is the pinnacle of having an automobile where style, form, and function all fuse to create one helluva car to me.

I take pride in my ride. Truth in engineering.
