motul radiator additive

anyone heard of MoCool, made by motul. its a radiator additive that supposedly can redue cooling system by 30 degrees. I was just wondering if this is safe for our cars?

I know it can reduce your pockets by a few dollars. lol jk but seriously idk probaly useless

i thought i seen a test a while back between all the major water coolers, and only about 2 of them worked, i remember the winner was that water wetter that comes in the tall bottle and is pink in color, but i am unsure as to weather or not motul was even tested

i think it is pretty new. it was in the "new gear" section in european car mag.

We're running the Mocool stuff in our E30 and it's holding up great. It's designed to be used with straight water, no coolant. Have done a few track days with it and no issues with any cooling problems.

Now how will that handle for long periods of travel for us socalers in the friggin 110degree heat on the way to vegas?

is it better to run with water? would it hurt to run it with the pink coolant.

water keeps the engine cooler than anti-freeze so yes its better to run with water, however if it happens to freeze in your area youd be screwed

motul makes good products.

i run 8100 5w40 in my 1.8t and gear 300 in the gearbox and rear diff.

The MoCool is a racing product. It's not designed to be used with coolant. And if you live in an area suceptible to freezing temps, I wouldn't at all recommend it. It does not have anti-freeze properties. It's only designed for maximum cooling along with lubrication and anti-corrosion properties.

i live in phoenix arizona. and in about 1 month its gonna be 110 degrees outside until the end of september.

but it sound like its more hassle than its worth. i mean the reg. g12 has worked for 4 summers already. sounds like im gonna stick with g12. thanks guys.
