    Transmission issue!!!

    Hey gang,

I believe I have an issue with my transmission. My 02 Audi A6 currently has 72K miles on it. When I'm in D(rive) and put my car in R(everse) it will roll a solid foot before going in R(everse) and allowing me to backup. The same thing happens when I'm in R(everse) and shift in D(rive), it will continue to roll a bit, then snag into gear.

Is this a known problem for this year A6? Is it the actual transmission?

Please let me know any of your thoughts or comments.

    Thanks

well i am not too sure on the audi, but i had an old nissan that used to do that, turned out the Diff. was going bad, but it could also be torq converter, clogged AT Filter, AT fluid low or just plain old

I have the same issue . I'm hoping that a fluid and filter change will help out a lot.

How many miles do you have on your car?
