    Xenon headlights

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I was just wondering, my headlights are halogens but I want to swap them with the stock bixenon headlights. How hard is it to install? Is it just plug and play or not. Also is it easier if I just retrofit some projectors?

And where can I purchase the bixenons other than the dealer? How much are they going for at the dealer?

I know I should've gotten my car with bixenons, stupid me. I really needed a car, so I just picked this up quick.

    Thank you guys.

search and you will find your answer.

install is simple, but i know someone who can do it if you dont want to.

    you need headlights, harness, etc

    Re: Xenon headlights

yea I was wondering this as well, does anyone know if the projectors can be retrofitted into our halogen housings? Since noone makes the whole housing for a reasonable price maybe buying just the projector would be cheaper.

    Re: Xenon headlights

I think they can be, but it will be cheaper and easier to just swap in the bi-xenon housings.

    Re: Xenon headlights

yeah right aroud 8ish i got my for 750. but i think he is backed up with orders. alot of people are doing them . you may want to check out ebay to see if they have set and just get the harness you need from www.oempl.us , they actually sell the adaptive head lights and the std bi xenons as well.. a bit more expensive but i think they are brand spanking new complete with harness too. ecstuning.com too..

    Re: Xenon headlights

i went on that website and they have two xenon headlights, one says b6 smoked xenon for $795 and the other b7 bi-xenon for $1295. i would go for the smoked one but it says it's for the b6, is this an error or does the b6 fit the b7s also?

nah , b6 doesnt fit the b7. must be an error with the site. make sure bulb ballast and harness are included.

    Re: Xenon headlights

^^That project will be a nightmare. You'd still need ballasts, bulbs, and way to connect them to the stock harness.

Then once you VAG-COM it for bi-xenon...you will no longer have high beams and your existing halogen high beams will became your DRLs.
