A3 no tail leds

I'm actually trying to source some parts for a possible retrofit to a 2007 A3, and those pics are a great help. I think they might actually be plug and play. There are 3 listings for the cabriolet headlights on ETKA for the 2009s -- Halogen/Xenon/Xenon with "curve" (adaptive I presume)

Unfortunately I can't pull up any other info including price, etc since it's not technically available in the states yet!

just got this from the audi UK website, i'm guessing thats only in a part of it tho

And the optical fibre is used to transport the light from the light bulb behind it.
There are no common leds to be found (like in the rear lights of the A6 Avant with Xenon at the front).
I think they call it 'Nightdesign'.

The picture I linked to certainly looks like it could have LEDs in the tails. The pic you posted above may or may not be the same as I can't really discern anything due to the closeness of the shot. I guess you physically handled them so perhaps you know more, but the picture evidence is still inconclusive from my perspective. Who knows what the face lifted A3 will bring in terms of tails as well so even if the lights in the first pic are not LED there is still some hope.

Thanks for the visual cues on LEDs though. Very helpful
