does anyone know how much the 1.8t stock flywheels weigh? like a ton right? im looking to upgrading the stock setup and was looking at 034 motorsports lwfw and they have a 9 lb aluminum one and a 16 lb steel. i will be going with their stage 2 clutch this one would the 16 lb be enough or should i just go all out and get the 9 lb, or would that be too light? also any input on that clutch, good or bad?

    thnx

I have a 9lb flywheel, it's OK but if I had to do it again I'd go for the 16lb (wasn't available when I bought the 9lb)

I have the stg 1 RS4 clutch from ecs and I don't have any complaints. The flywheel weighs 12lbs and doesn't make any noise. There is a big difference over stock, the engine revs faster and the clutch feels much better. I think 9 would be too light for a daily driver. 16lbs would make a difference but 12-14lbs is just about right for daily driving if you still want to have some fun.

    16 lb LWFW FTW.
I wouldn't go back after installing mine. Only difference, I didn't have the time to wait for two different parts to show up from two different suppliers, so I bought the FW and clutch kit from SPEC. They're closer to my location, and I recieved it in a very short amount of time. Not that I'm complaining about any service from 034, I rather like them, I just didn't want to have to pay for 2 day, when SPEC's was 2 day w/o the additional cost.

it's not too hard to drive daily, and it doesn't make any noise at all (i have never heard "chatter")

I guess its just not my type. maybe it's the combination with my specific clutch, but passengers don't like it (especialy women)
