I'm sure you love them, so that's all that counts.

But if you want my opinion, they're hardly my cup of tea. Get that thing slammed and it will help you pull them off better.

    Re: Cleaned and Summers on!!

Are those wheels 16in? I think they would look a lot better if they were bigger for sure. I've never been a huge fan of those kind of wheels with the bolts around them (I don't know what they're called) but, as you as you like them that's really all that matters!

p.s. What happened to your bumper markers???

Those are rivets, and they come on multi piece wheels because they hold the centers onto the barrel. Since multipiece wheels are better and more expensive, lots of companies just add them when they're not necessary/functional just for looks.

See any wheel ever made by HRE, Iforged, Jline, DPE, multipiece Schmidt, Work, etc.

They are SSR GT3's 18" for those that think they are 16". An they are 3 peice wheels. I would have rather had them in the silver/dark silver finsih they usually come in but the Deal was so great on them i couldn't passs them up. If you look in the FS section on AZ there are 2 sets of GT3's for sale that both need to be redone. I got these already redone and came with new rubber. and they were in my state. It will get dropped.

    No, no, no.....

Never compromise on a mod, brother! I'd say sell those and put the cash towards something you really want....the stock ones look better anyways!

Also, stay away from overpriced 3-piece wheels; bolts belong on a Chrysler 300, not an Audi. I should actually go snap a phone-pic of this ugly-ass 300C down in the garage of the building I work in. The thing is gold, with awful 3-piece black wheels (kinda like the OP's, lol) and the roof is painted Home Depot Orange.......don't ask me what effect that's supposed to have!

I agreed with you up until this part. Not too many riced out or tacky looking cars ride around on expensive 3 piece wheels. The fact they are multipiece and forged means they are usually stronger than the majority of cast one piece wheels without rivets, better built and usually a better fit wheel. You can't get away from the rivets unless you want the wheel to come apart.

To the OP, those tires look huge or maybe it is the gap that is giving me that illusion

haha nice, and yup, the suspension should make it look 2342352352354x better.

have you thought about getting lower profile tires? i think part of the reason the wheels look so small is because you're running on some THICK ass rubber. couple thin tires with a nice drop and it'll transform the look of your car AND wheels.

Hey now, I bought 3 piece wheels for my car that I am waiting for. Different wheels look better with the rivets, and sometimes it can be hard to pull off I guess. But rivets = good wheels. Don't get that mixed up if you see multi-piece wheels on just one car you don't like.

I think we can all agree that the OP's car would look 10x better lowered, and we would all like the wheels more if we just saw the car lower.

    ...see?

and if you honestly would rather have different wheels, just sell them asap. The tires are mint, they are flawless... someone will definitely buy them. Seriously, buy what you really want if you're not happy with those. As long as you have wheels that you like and are good with, you will like your car that much more

I was just going to say the same thing... you would like the wheels much better if the car was lowered... a lowered car = bigger appearance of wheel

Uh oh, I have incurred the wrath of the Phrost!

I wasn't necessarily knocking multi-piece wheels; I understand the benefits you gain from a lighter construction and varying materials. I guess I should've focused more on the point I was trying to make, which is that riveted wheels are VERY tough to pull off and are not for the modding light-of-heart. You can't just slap a multi-thousand dollar set of wheels on a car and expect it to fit with the look unless you REALLY chose carefully, which it sounds like the OP chose the best deal instead.

I do take back my slam that they belong on a Chrysler 300, cuz I have seen many a classy ride w/ rivets, including A4's. I was just pretty eager to make fun of that Chrysler-tool's car, because it appears they actually did the things they did ON PURPOSE.... lol.

Mainly, and I said this before, one should never compromise on a mod, and waiting/doing nothing is better than "close enough." Inevitably, you will feel regret about "what could've been..."

That's some nice photoshopping tho, it does improve the look ten-fold.

    Re: Cleaned and Summers on!!

B7A4Sport, I understand what you mean on not going for the deal but i figure that i can run these wheels for a summer or two then get them refinished in the dark silver that i really want. Ok so SSR GT3's aren't being made anymore/kinda hard to find in a non-staggered set-up with 5x112. So the tires are michelin pilot ps2's which run $255 each and SSR GT3's new run $550 each. so just over $3k for everything. if you like the wheels what would be a good deal for everyone? yes $1 is a great deal but what would you pay for them if you liked them and wanted them?
