    B7 S4 AWE DP's installed !! with neuspeed catback.

Well I got some garage time today and installed my AWE DP's . All said it took about 4 hours . I soaked the studs and nuts with Kroil as soon as I got it on the lift , and everythig came off with out to much effort. The Pre cat O2 sensors cannot be seen until you drop the stock DP's off the manifold studs, but there is enough slack in the sensor leads to allow this. If you plan on doing them I highly recomend a lift if at all possible, and an O2 sensor socket (ECS tuning). Anyway it sounds pretty wicked, at idle and low rpm its about the same as a regular catback sys. however at mid to high rpm it is completely different, in a good way. I dont think its obnoxiuos, but very throaty and quite a bit more db's. I know this post is useless without pics, and or vid, so I will be posting some pics of the install and a vid as soon as I can get to it ! Cheers !.

To be honest it had some drone with the neuspeed only , but seemed to be settling in . With the DP's installed I didnt notice any, BUT..... I havent been out on any real highway driving yet, Ive had it up to speed multiple times while accelerating WOT some cruising and some decel, and I didnt notice any drone . At normal driving RPM's it sounds very similar to just the Neuspeed catback.

Re: B7 S4 AWE DP's installed !! with neuspeed catback.

Drone is a funny thing. On my B5 w/ ASP catback it droned while cruising anywhere from 2-3k rpm. A very wide rpm range compared to my B6 w/ Labree catback which drones from 1600-1800rpm only. A small window but it is a LOUD-ass drone. Especially during low speed deceleration.
