got a quote for spring installs today from EuroTech

H & R springs for my 07 a4, they wanted $700 for springs and install. wow.

the springs are $240 so they prob get them for $100 and the install is ridiculous.

I called them just for a price since my buddy does this stuff anyways i was just curious how much they would charge me.

So im buying my springs for $240 and getting them installed for free.com

the only thing is that its a little time consuming, other than that anyone (with some sense of car knowledge) can do it themselves. i hate shop prices.

i just had my coils installed and adjusted who knows how many times before i was happy. even after all that it was still only 400 dollars... for like 6-7 hours of work. 400 is waaay high.

im like hmm $700 is pretty price dude why so much, and hes like thats the price i dont care if its a bentley or mercedes thats what we charge, and i just go thanks anyways.

They do ferraris and lambos and shit out here they get a lot of customers with tons of money and prob dont care what the price is.

i'd never pay more than $150 for a coilover install much less a spring install. If you have gift of the gab, i'd say go to your local audi service dept., sneak into the service bays approach a service tech (preferably a suspension tech) and ask how much he would charge to install your setup under the table???

the techs are sucker's for some extra $$$$ especially when they can do that work on audi's time anyhow??? i just had my stasis s/s coils uninstalled, my stocks put back on and those same stasis coils put onto another b7 all for $300 total!!!! oh ya that was with an alignment for both cars! some of you guys need to grow some bargaining skills. only way to survive in today's economy!

btw the dealership i go to is called the collection and they sell n service everything from our lowly audi's to bentley's, jag's, porsche's, ferrari's, aston martins and some i'm sure i left out. so don't take that crap of oh we service x,y, & z cars so we can justify the high install price! good luck man!
