did anyone find that the lamin-x pre-cutout foglight tints were to small to cover the entire foglight?

Also when i installed my lamin-x headlight covers it seems as i have moisture stuck under them even though i didn't cover my lights with water...i applyed a light mist like the directions said to do. I've tried everything (heating, smoothing with the squeegy).

    thanks

I think the OP should not use a hairdryer or heatgun, and put them in the oven to bake them instead.

Because BAKING SOLVES EVERYTHING and is the correct way to do every mod.

Interesting.. I was thinking about redoing the tail tints because my cutting was off the first time. I think I might order headlightarmor if it really is a better pre-fit. Lamin-x fitting sucks balls.

I will only deal with headlightarmor, i've already ordered a few things from them when I had the vw and it fit perfectly. I ordered tail light tints from them too i'm just waiting till summer to put them on. perfect fit, great vinyl, and not cheap thin material either

I have smoke for lamin-x on mine right now so if I do buy from the site, I would buy the smoke tint again.

yea smokes a good choice, i bought two sets of tinted tail precuts (light smoked and smoked) because i'm not sure which one would look better. The passat up top had stealth smoke, but for some reason I never got pulled over.

hmm im actually not too sure about that, the taillight on the avant looks a bit more curved so it might be a short if not tight fit

    Re: Lamin-X help

Just wanna give the thread a bump. I ordered the headlight armor film two-three days ago and it came already! Very fast shipping! They do look like a better fitment than the Lamin-x I put on. I'm going to redo my tail tints this weekend and let you guys know how it is.

    Re: Lamin-X help

Lamin-X sucks as far as fitment is concerned. I develop my own pre-cut kits. We all probably use the same stuff as far as material. I use a 17 mil thick for headlights and taillights. If you guys need any of this film, let me know. I've done quite a few of these. Even if you have a question about installing, I'm here to help.
