    removing tail light tint

so over the past few months I have been getting pulled over atleast once every 2 weeks and the main reason they keep busting me is for my tail light tints that I got done before they became illegal in california. sick of dealing with the cops and having "good/bad" cop giving me ticket and then having "good/bad" cop writing my ticket off.

I wanted to know how to remove my tint from the taillights its just film not sprayed

i read the tint thread and people said just grab a corner and take it off in 1 motion to avoid glue streaks, does this same idea apply for taillights?

    Re: removing tail light tint

The film is very thick, just pick at a corner, and peel away in one fluid movement. Do it slowly, but don't stop. The stuff is really thick so it shouldn't tear
    Ignorance is bliss.

thanks every1 ima do it this week once i get my car back from the body shop, yeah i have been getting pulled for window tint since i got 3% all around i am going to take off the fronts and get them redone to a lighter shade, yeah the only reason i have had such a problem is because the town i go to school in (stockton) the cops literally wait on the main street to bust people its ridiculous

    Re: removing tail light tint

a buddy of mine who does tint professionally uses a steamer to remove tint from windows, i would assume this would also work for the lights, it makes more sense than just pulling at it. Just a thought... good luck with the removal
