Piano black 9-piece trim set installed. Pics inside.

A week or 2 ago I changed out my all black seats for black with silver alcantara. As you can see, I left the door cards in the all black. This weekend I installed the piano black trim. I bought a used set of birdseye and had it painted at a body shop. It's much more convenient than having your own set painted.

Here are the finished results. Well, I am also contemplating a silver alcantara shifter boot. Thanks again Drew (BlkBullitt) for the pics (wish it wasn't raining) and help with the dash pieces.

how much did it run you to have the trim painted??

my guess would be all of 50 bucks for paint and time(if someone else were doing it) and about 2 hours of your own time to install and uninstall yourself. i took all my door trim off in about 30 minutes.

I paid $200 to get all 9 pieces painted piano black...looks factory OEM because trying to do it yourself and 1 piece doesn't come out perfect you'll stare at it while you're driving...well worth it to let a professional body shop handle it. I don't feel like i'm driving an old mans car anymore. It feels much more sporty without the wood:)

Bought them from someone gutting an S4 for the track. I cleaned them up with a sweater defuzzer (they were quite pilled) and a magic eraser. Turned out great. My black seats are in great condition, too. I need to take some pics and get some stuff in the classifieds.

Much better! It's amazing what Magic Eraser can do for the Alcantara. Everytime I see the center console painted like you have it I wonder if it would be too difficult to paint the face panels of the HVAC controls and radio. Did you look into that at all? You'd have to be careful to not build up the paint too much otherwise the buttons would jam.
